Dining at Ojai Valley Inn

The Oak - Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, The Oak is an indoor-outdoor restaurant showcasing locally sourced products and ingredients—many grown in our own resort gardens. Dine alfresco on fresh valley cuisine under the pergola amid views of centuries-old oak trees, golf fairways, and the Topatopa Mountains.

Olivella - The star of our collection, Olivella’s award-winning valley-to-table culinary program is supported by the local Ojai valleys, ranches, orchards, farms, and ocean waters. Embracing the seasonal produce of the region, Olivella sets the stage for Chef Andrew Foskey’s distinctly California cuisine with Italian influences and an expertly curated wine collection.

Due to our diligent pursuit in sourcing the finest ingredients at the peak of their season, our menu is subject to daily changes.

Jimmy's Pub - Named for golf legend Jimmy Demaret, our casual, family-friendly pub borrows his famous personality by creating a lively gathering place for your afternoon, evening, late-night, or 19th-hole cravings. Enjoy market-driven pub fare with an award-winning craft cocktail program, an impressive lineup of microbrews on tap, and Central Coast winery discoveries.

Dining in Ojai

Rory's Place - Rory’s Place is a collaboration between us—sisters Rory and Meave McAuliffe. We grew up playing in the kitchen of our mom’s bakery in Santa Monica in the 90’s, and have been cooking together ever since. Our menus are inspired by the fresh, seasonal produce, seafood and livestock from Ojai, Santa Barbara, and the surrounding areas. But our mission is about much more than great ingredients: we’re here to create partnerships and support our vibrant community of local farmers, ranchers, and fisher people.

Ojai Rôtie - Nestled in the center of Ojai’s historic downtown, Ojai Rôtie is a chef/farmer-driven, fast casual patio-restaurant offering extraordinary French-Lebanese style rotisserie chicken, freshly-baked, handmade sourdough, an array of innovative side dishes plus a wine and beer list highlighting Ojai Valley agriculture, viniculture and the “Ojai Appellation”.

The Dutchess - We proudly source our ingredients from California farmers, ranchers, fishers, wineries and other purveyors who have planet-friendly practices. Basically, they give back to the earth and use a variety of methods, like organic, biodynamic, dry farm, no till, regenerative, holistic rotational grazing, silvopasture and more, and don’t use GMOs, antibiotics, hormones and dangerous chemicals. Ojai Valley and the surrounding areas have a wealth of incredible farmers growing delicious food in a thoughtful and conscientious way.

Ojai Deer Lodge - There’s a little somethin’ for everyone here at the Deer Lodge. In keeping with our backwoods heritage, we offer classic Californian cuisine, along with a wide selection of craft beers and spirits from up and down the West Coast. We have vegetarian and vegan friendly options, as well as a large dog-friendly patio and a game room with a pool table and lounge area. With live music and smokey barbecue on the weekends, this is a place where you can bring the whole family during the day, or dance with your friends into the night. This is where memories are made, where the blacktop ends and paradise begins… this is where time stands still.

Boccali's Pizza - Boccali’s menu is inspired by DeWayne Boccali’s love of cooking and his passion for farming. The menu features their own fresh produce during the growing season, picked daily from their Upper Ojai farm. Fresh-squeezed Boccali Ranch lemonade and orange juice are available all year long. Boccali’s customers enjoy dining “al-fresco" on the patio, or on the large oak-covered lawn area, while enjoying the scenic vistas that make the Ojai Valley so beautiful and unique. Boccali’s recipes are "Original Ojai Italian”, inspired by family recipes passed down from DeWayne’s grandfather, who journeyed to Santa Barbara, California in 1898 from Lucca, Italy.

Topa Topa Taproom - Order a cold beer at the bar and some food from the walk up window of Little Sama Ojai (we recommend the tater tots). Then grab a spot on the patio and take in the view of the majestic Topa Topa mountains. Stay until sunset and you just might get to see the Topa Topa mountain’s famous “pink moment.” There’s nothing like sipping a pint of Chief Peak IPA while admiring the actual Chief Peak mountaintop.

We believe that there is a book for everyone, and that reading is the catalyst for a connection amongst passionate people. Bart’s hosts a collection of over 130,000 used and new books, ranging from rare out-of-print gems to well loved paperbacks. The staff - composed entirely of dedicated book-lovers - can not only help you find a book but can also offer a recommendation for a new favorite. Over 50 years after its conception, Bart’s lives on as a haven for passionate readers, intrigued travelers, wandering artists, and those just looking for a good “beach read.”

Nuts & Dried Fruit, Prepared Food, Raw Chocolate, Fresh Cut Flowers, Plants, Orchids &Handmade Soap

Ojai Olive Oil Company - Ojai Olive Oil is one of a small number of multi-generational, organic family farms still going strong in America. We work hard to bring you the very best products we can craft, while building towards a sustainable future. Our goal is one of both immediacy and legacy, to savor the abundance and beauty of all we have now, while leaving something even better for those to come.

Shopping - Ojai, California is brimming with small town charm and personality. You won’t find chain stores in our village; rather, one-of-a-kind boutiques with friendly shopkeepers will pique your interest and offer you an eclectic and personalized shopping experience. Stroll through the downtown village, and browse for boutique clothing, fine art, hand-crafted jewelry and home furnishings at over fifty specialty stores and art galleries.

Wine Tasting - Grape-growing in the Ojai region dates back over 150 years to the arrival of Italian immigrants and Spanish missionaries. However, modern winemaking in Ojai took root in the early 1980s with Adam Tolmach, who founded The Ojai Vineyard. Unlike other mountain ranges in the Americas that run north and south, the local mountains are part of the unique Western Transverse Range, an east-west-oriented formation that draws cool ocean air from the Pacific. This rare geography creates a Mediterranean climate further inland – warm days, cool nights and a gentle coastal influence – ideal for grape-growing and Ojai’s flourishing agriculture.
